Thursday, November 8, 2007 Y 10:52 AM Hmm. Where do I start? Okay I haven't had time to blog over the past few days. Or rather I have been too lazy to, but I think class chalet deserves to have at least one full blog post dedicated to it. The chalet was kinda old and rundown but it gave us lots of space to play and do our stuff. We got into our groups and into our designated group rooms. Unfortunately, due to many unforseen circumstances, our group was reduced to a teeny four-person group. Then, we embarked on our treasure hunt. The treasure hunt was really not easy. Dorcas and Kathy must make excellent detectives. hahaha. We played more games and then started on our barbeque. A few of us lighted the fire and got our hands all coated with black grime. I took lots of videos and pictures and we all went crazy singing and rapping away. Then we had more games. I loved the one where we had to wrap our group members like a mummy. SO FUNNY. Especially red group's mummy. With bowls as boobs. HILARIOUS. Then, dorcas told us to avoid the toilet on the first floor cos Huizi and Amanda felt SOMETHING. And we screamed. OMGoodness i was sososo petrified. Khaingzin and I started chanting, or rather, she chanted and I attempted to follow. But, being the brave souls that we are, we carried on with our activities as per normal. Then, Frique went through the unexpected drama. It was really unexpected. I mean, I think we all expected to cry in the 'I miss you' kind of way. Not this. But ultimately, this brought us so much closer to each other, and it marked a new beginning. I regarded chalet as a kind of closure, but it turned out to be the whole new continuation of our friendship. The very fact that we were hurting for each other and feeling each others' pain shows how much we have progressed since Day One. We might not be able to help each other, but I take comfort in the knowledge that we will always be there for each other and that we can feel for each other, cry for each other, pray for each other. I can't even begin to explain the connection we have. I think its just amazing how we are able to sense each other and feel for each other. We might seem a fun-loving group but I think all of us know that we are a lot more than just a group of people who have fun together. I'm not that afraid of separation anymore cos I've seen for myself what our friendship can do. I trust our bond to be as strong as it was that day. I think about "Its when one of us starts hurting and all of us feel the pain", and I can't help but agree with the line at the top of my blogskin. I feel really glad that I've experienced friendship in its truest form. FRIQUE IS LOVE |
