okay. chem is really killing me. and i cant afford to fail chem cos
1. i can feel it in my fingers and toes and bones that i failed chem spa already
2. I FREAKIN GO FOR CHEM TUITION and WHO THE HELL GOES FOR TUITION AND STILL FAILS. okay me. like for math. BUT STILL. this is chem.
i am only supposed to fail physics (which im not taking) so technically i shouldnt be failing any science at all! ha. ha. i dont think so. i am pissed off with mole concept. VERY.
i really dont know whats wrong with me.
i will revise chem and only chem for the rest of tonight and attempt to actually understand what's going on.
sometimes putting in effort isn't enough. and that sucks. but at least i know i tried. i'm getting more positive after reading chicken soup for the teenage soul. somehow the stories there are pretty inspiring for a tired, fed up teen who's bloody sick of hellish sec three life. i dont know how much longer im going to last. i have this sinking feeling that i really have no future. seriously, other than education (which, in my case, is gradually derailing), i have absolutely no niche or talent or whatever. talk about talentless. i dont know if i even can make it to jc la. and then even if i struggle there, i might not be able to get into uni, cos i read this news report recently about the increasing number of applicants and the huge number of disappointments. i might really just end up sweeping the roads or working at macdonalds night shifts.
sigh. i'll take one step at a time. right now, chem chem chem.

LOVE MY CmPS GROUP.

E-lderly 2007 AND 2008 ROCKS MY CROCS OFF ( socks are SO passe :D i actually detest crocs. they look gross. just for the rhyming effect. heh. )

ANYWAY. today, miss tan finally decided to announce the accepted CmPS teams. We were seriously not expecting to get in, because the past few times we went up to her to ask her if we got accepted, she actually identified BIG loopholes in our project. BUT. did we give up? NO. we are PERSISTENT :D

Anyway, me tianyi and zann were holding hands (and breath), but it took such a LONG TIME to get to "the following are the accepted CmPS groups". then name, after name, after name. AND THEN.
" Hui Tian Yi"
*short, sharp shriek from tian*
*excited gasps from miranda & zann*
and then here comes Ms Tan's wise words: " Its not that I think your project is good enough. Its just that you all are very persistent and its irritating me"
"THANK YOU MISS TAN!'
*scurries away*

after we're about 3 metres away from the crowd, we BURST INTO SHRIEKS AND JUMPED CRAZILY and heard NAT + CHERIE's "ohmygod we got in?!?!?!", ALL proceed to KEEP ON BOUNDING AND LEAPING UP AND DOWN FRENZIEDLY
needless to say we attracted A LOT of attention. yikes.

anyway, we're taking miss tan's words as our encouragement, and we WILL find a solution to our loopholes. she's giving us a chance so we HAVE to prove our worth. we were so motivated that we came up with our vision mission and goal.

vision: sight, to see; root word of 'television'
mission: an activity that the FBI partakes in regularly; root word of omission
goal: soccer terminology; when a player strikes the ball into a designated area, it is said that the team has scored a goal

natgoh is hilarious. she came up with it (:

I LOVE CmPS TEAM E-LDERLY <3

CHEWLIN! yes i am going to blog about it and I LOVE YOU TOO (:
MATH RETEST IS OVER! YAY!
it was really much easier than expected, and i finished 22 mins before time. AH MAY ZING. for me especially, since its a MATH test. amazed to the MAXEST. HAHA I SOUND DELIRIOUS. and i am. partially. GORSH. I was so happy during the test that i was like LAUGHING while doing my paper! silently, of course, or the whole classroom would turn to me and stare. ANYWAY, thanks to everybody who told me NO PROBLEM CAN DO IT before the test, especially marge nandi chewlin ( I LOVE YOU TOO:) leena and sheena (RHYMES! kay i know, i know its cold). Also, thank you all retest buddies who freaked out minorly with me, and/or laughed after the test, especially Bobo + Qianyu + Natkim + Amanda (tai+chan) [please expand equation]. goodness math is driving me crazy.
Anyway, poor huiyi ran into an unfortunate incident this afternoon. i agree with her personal message: the government should take note of the increasing number of crazy people in Singapore. (even though she's not exactly mentally sane too) oh well, poor huiyi and her treacherous journey home.

frique;
hey guys, sorry for being a total pain and losing it at you guys. i was really having a shitty day. i know you all don't mean it and i'm sorry. and i'm not really fed up of initiating all that stuff cos someone has to do it and i dont mind so long as you guys dont find me a total nag. but you really have to help me out.
love and miss you all to bits

i have so much work to do. argh. and i blame myself totally for procrastinating and wasting my whole day away when i could have put it to good use. i am not stepping into another library till all myas are over. i swear. and i keep telling myself i need to buck up for math retest but then i just cant get started on the work i need to do and tomorrow im going to my tuition teacher's house empty handed and im going to be a huge disappointment once again. all the undone work is getting in my way of doing math but i have a feeling i wouldnt have gotten down to doing much of it anyway. i seriously need some self-worth.

REJOICING OVER THE FACT THAT NAPFA IS FINALLY OVER!
2.4 run today was much better than i expected and i mean MUCH BETTER. hello gold i'm coming! To compare and contrast this year's timing and last year's i improved MAJORLY. THIS YEAR IS LIKE, THE YEAR OF PHYSICAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR ME :D
i shall record down the vast (for me at least) improvements and deprovements because i'm satisfied though its really shameless considering i'm not very fit.
2.4 run (from a C to an A) : most satisfying improvement, from like 16 something to 13 something (: okay i know it isn't fast compared to people like JAS and EEWEN and AMANDA CHAN who run like 12 something, or walk, and STILL get 13, not to mention guys who can run averagely around 9. but its good enough for me. then again, last year i totally heck cared and walked quite a lot since i got d for sbj and couldnt get gold. and speaking of sbj.
sbj (from a D to a B i think) : improvement improvement improvement. from last year's lousy 150++ to 170 (which is lousy still compared to like, the rest of the world)
BUT, shuttle run (from a b to a c ): yes, spot the hidden sadface. deprovement! needs to buck up for this. the only irritating c >:/

I really don't know why i was, and am still so worried about napfa. i mean, i didnt really worry last year, only dreaded. maybe its cos i really trained in ncc? anyway, i really need to thank ncc for training me. training seriously helps and i'm DETERMINED to start exercising for next year's napfa. (okay i know i know i'm so not going to achieve it.) Anyway, i think our platoon really improved very well! a very good sign that training is working (: I'm also extremely thankful to everyone who cheered me on while i was running cos it really is encouraging. especially nat and marge who kept shouting 'you're stronger than that!'. i was totally going to stop and walk in round 5 then i heard that and i was like HELL YEAH and i switched to machine-mode and just ran with my whole body numbing up. im SO GLAD i resisted the urge to walk. also extremely grateful to marge who was WITH ME :D (yes it really helped and i'm still very sorry i couldnt stay to cheer you on.)
i think a vital part of 2.4 is actually standing by the track and screaming out encouragement to friends. you see a lot of love and spirit during the whole event. for example, we saw two girls who were running and pulling their friend along, one on each side. it was really sweet cos they were drained, but refused to leave their friend behind. there were also other girls who ran with their friends even after they finished all their rounds, or even though they don't/can't run for reasons unknown. They really should take pictures of REAL touching scenes like that for those publicity banners instead of those fakeish kinds you actually pose for.
I think 2.4 is more a mental torture than a physical one actually. i really refused to let my body stop for a second even though i was DAMN tempted to. i think for me, it works if i go into machine mode. then i'm just blindly placing one foot after the other. i totally couldn't stand up after i stopped. my head was spinning madly. but after recovering from that, i was totally high, on adrenaline.

pressing on.

my internet is FINALLY up and running. after dying on me on sunday.
today was a horrible horrible day.
one of the worst.
firstly, i had chem spa which totally killed me. made stupid mistakes. and they say titration is the only spa you can score in. i am officially a dead person with respects to spa anyway.
secondly, immediately after my disaster with chem spa, i received my bio paper which i scraped and i seriously mean SCRAPED through. i actually laughed after receiving it cos i couldnt believe i got such a lousy mark. like first time ever for bio. maybe you can call it bitter laugh.
thirdly, CMPS. we seriously have big problems to solve. 1) how to cater to the illiterate elderly 2) how to solve the problem of shortage of computers 3) how to convince ms tan of our passion to serve the community. i'm sure this is making total sense to you (: fourthly, and i've said it before, sec three life sucks. majorly. i should not be here blogging cos i have like a MOUNTAIN of undone work but i seriously need to rant. fifthly, ITS 2.4 TOMORROW AND I NEED A GOLD lastly, i'm tired of being the only one who's doing all that stuff. only spade and king were here. get it right its not my responsibility and i'm only nagging at all of you to cooperate cos it its just fair that everyone has a gift. its a way of caring for one another and how we show we care especially now that we aren't together. i seriously don't care if you all forget about mine but at least i can make sure that all of you get a nice and memorable birthday gift cos that's enough for me and that's all i want. it didn't help that my day sucked already.

and now that its all off my chest i can start on SS

Thursday, April 10, 2008 Y 9:27 PM

okay.
its kindof disturbing that all the people tagging have names like cool person, even cooler person and i am more cool. aiya just tag with your real name la. mystery game is it.

by the way i am more cool person, read properly la. i got one c for shuttle run not c for everything in napfa. (and why is that bian tai anyway? hahaha)

ALYSHA'S LEAVING FOR INDIA TOMORROW!
i'm really going to miss her.

will post a post dedicated to her later on.

our threeten song written for the foreign scholars:

we know you miss home
but you'll be okay
we're your friends in Singapore
and we want you to stay

you know you're not alone
when you're in three ten
we're full of love so reach out there'll be helping hands

three ten, three ten
to gether we can,
we'll work hand in hand

three ten, three ten
together we stand,
in us you'll find a friend

NAPFA FIVE ITEMS ARE OVER
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (:
i cannot begin to tell you my extremest relief at not failing/getting below c for standing broad jump. i actually got pretty good for my standards. reliefreliefrelief. THANKS TO mr ben's tips on how to sbj & marge + nandi who practised like countless times with me + sheena and everyone else who i freaked out to and who all kindly consoled me. but i fricking got c for shuttle run. DEPROVEMENT. awman
ALL THAT'S LEFT IS FRICKIN 2.4!!!!!!!!!
gosh but i think i should be able to not get below c for 2.4? cos that will be SAD man. i mean i've been training in ncc weekly after all? plus thats the only item left.
FAITH IN YOURSELF MIRANDA, FAITH.
yes i can so do this.

and i shall not talk about napfa any longer its stressing me out. WHY its just NAPFA for goodness sake. We take it every year don't we? Which is why every year i get a sudden urge to be fit, which of course, dies off until around a year has passed, during which i will regret not training enough. I feel extremely incoherent right now. blab blab blab.

Am currently doing math stats worksheet on phone bills and realised the vast diff in the distribution of bills between parent and child. My parents have like 189 mins outgoing talk time while i have around 88 mins. In contrast, I exceed my monthly free smses (which is only 500 if i'm not wrong) regularly by about 80 smses (note this is already a very tame smser), while my parents send around 15 smses each month. GOSH. i fail to understand, though, how people exceed their 1000 free smses quota. fine example of tanhuiyi.

i absolutely love the Yabo Crew on youtube! Ryan Higa is hilarious <3333
lame occasionally, but funny all the same. their videos are hilariously hilarious. go watch the 'how to be' series, How to be a Ninja, How to be a Gangster, How to be Emo, How to be a Nerd. In the exact order. watch also, subliminal messaging by nigahiga. i actually did subscribe after watching that. EVERYONE SHOULD SUBSCRIBE. ryan higa is da bomb. THANK YOU VICKY for getting me started on the how to be series. nigahiga videos are addictive.

its late.
i should sleep.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

this shall be a photo post (:
here are some photos from grandma's birthday last week. a little late but still.

the three oldest cousins of the family in descending order. haha.

the lovely birthday cake

the traditional birthday pao thing that is humongously huge.

other random photos:

my cousin. she's so cute and she loves sunglasses (:

massaging ah gong!

The result of a really boring chem lesson. At least we made Mr. Avogrado look better by covering the ugly parts of his face with eraser dust.

The crazily heavy rain on Thursday. Taken from far east. It was so heavy that everything became blurry.

The flooded bus stop.

my encouragement

Y 1:39 PM

sports day was a really happy day for me. entirely happy days have been pretty rare this year and sports day was pretty close to being an entirely happy day.
good things that happened:
1. WADDLE WON SPORTS FEST! YAY! It really IS about time we started winning. I think we all got a lot more motivated after winning overall champ last year. We are on a WINNING STREAK. i hope.
2. We got 2nd for cheerleading+cheering. the waddle dance was very cute and i think the final pyramid thing was very unusual. I THINK we cheered pretty loud? i hope we did anyway.
3. First for cheerleading was richardson but i think they deserved it cos their dance was really cute and cool. CONGRATS EENETTE WONG. she was so happy and i feel really happy for her. [can't believe you cried you POOT. tears of joy i know but still.]
4. ate dinner with huiyi jas eewen peiyin and karmin(who did not eat) and laughed like crazy thereby embarrassing ourselves. and i found a fellow raw/spring/so long as it is onion hater. high five peiyin (:
5. tianyi and i realised that even thought we disliked the thought that we were all living in an imaginary computer-programmed world pulled over our eyes to shield us from the cruel truth, and thereby disliked the matrix a lot, we liked the matrix pretty much when it sent us electronic signals to convey to us how good milo tastes. especially since the milo is free.
6. yellow made my day
7. well, generally a good day

not-so good things that happened:
1. spent a bomb at sakae. i hate gst. a lot.
2. was laughed at by huiyi jas and eewen ALL THE WAY HOME ON THE MRT. HMPH.
3. thought of my mediocre marks for math. and was sad.
4. was scared by the songs played backwards which had different satanic and/or morbid meanings. gosh. was freaked out to the extreme.

and since good things outweigh bad things, i conclude that it was a good day.

HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!

today was really hilarious. i just love april fool's. we exchanged classrooms with 309 and confused all the poor teachers. haha 309's chinese teacher literally ran out of the classroom. Although she realised it was an april fool's joke and came back in from the back door to scold us. Then 309's chem teacher Ms Ang was so confused, she was like 'uh, is this 309? it is right?' *cranes head to look at the numberplate on top of the door* HAHA. then for History, we especially wanted to bully and see Mr. Ganesh's reaction. So in addition to being in the wrong classroom, we turned our chairs the other way round so we were facing the blackboard at the back of the classroom. Then we switched off the lights and pretended to be asleep. You should see the LOOK on his face when he came into our class. hahaha. that was priceless. he was like 'WHAT?! i hate April fool's day.'
HAHA
then in Tribune, selene and i came up with a plan. We wanted to tell the club that we had a meeting with mrs shirley tan and she decided that we were to merge with spiral and become an e-magazine to save paper. oh well poor secones. they believed us. most of them anyway. haha. but didnt trick the sec twos. wasted our time trying to be emo. speaking of which, rokhini was discussing emoness with us, and we realised how loosely the term was being flung around. we talked more about options in life, and how one decision can decide your entire life, and stuff like that. made me think a lot about how i'm totally ruining my life and how i've got no future. but i cheered up after going home with shiying and reasoning things out.

oh well its been a rather good day i guess.
