Friday, June 26, 2009 Y 10:53 PM Rayne says: aaah I'm not over drag me to hell :/ Yes Sze Min and I got dragged to the cinema by three crazy testosterone charged guys who think that Drag Me to Hell is a horror COMEDY. Where the comedic part comes in, I don't really know. I found no part of that remotely funny except the part we all screamed cos we thought this animalistic sound came from the Lamia or the crazy old gypsy witch but it was actually this benign little goat. WHICH WASN'T SO BENIGN, by the way, when IT GOT POSSESSED. In all though, I have to reluctantly admit it WAS quite a good experience. Did I really say that? I am NOT a fan of horror, I'm sure you can tell from the above. Neither do I see the point in wasting six or more bucks getting the life scared out of you. But I still went for the damn movie. And yes I got scared and was sufficiently embarrassed in the cinema. I screamed like twice or more into poor Jia Rong's ear and practically twisted his shoulder off when the things kept screaming/leaping out crazily/lunging/scratching/stapling(YES stapling)/grabbing at us through the screen. Meanwhile SzeMin and Qiu Le were cowering together very near by as well in a way that can only be described as, um, heartwarming. That still sounds wrong even though I've rewritten that sentence so many times. Qiu Le discovered a whole new way of blocking out the cinema screen, peeking out from behind his bag. Sze Min and I stuck to the traditional cover-your-head-with-your-jacket way. In Szemin's words: Rayne says: haha I spent more than three quarters of the show with my head in my jacket and the bit less than one quarters looking at the far upper left corner of the screen because the rest was obscured by my jacket In case you're wondering I did the same. In other words, there was a horror movie going on in the seats as well. It was like watching a horror comedy while being in one. Samuel remained strangely calm and unperturbed, except when telling Jia Rong who'd already watched it to stop making noises at the exciting parts. Seriously he would make noises and we'd both know something was going to happen. An interesting experience, really. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 Y 11:19 PM From Mr Ho Ms Teo has informed me that they would not be receiving visitors for Term 3 Week 1 and they would also not be sending their pupils out of school. Hence we would need to adjust our programme for hosting the Taiwan visitors. WHAT IS THE FREAKING MEANING OF THIS. DAMN. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO DO THIS! OKAY THEY OBVIOUSLY DO. BUT CONSIDER HOW MUCH EFFORT WE'VE FREAKING PUT INTO THIS PROJECT. AND NOW THEY'RE DEPRIVING THE POOR DEAF KIDS THE CHANCE FOR A DAY OF FUN? WITH US? THEY'RE DEPRIVING US AND THE TAIWANESE WHO'VE TRAVELLED HOW FREAKING LONG OF A CHANCE TO SERVE THE DEAF CHILDREN? DAMN THE ADMINISTRATION DAMN THE FRIGGIN H1N1 BUG. DIE VIRUSES DIE WHY DONT YOU. DAMN YOU MICROSCOPIC HUMAN CELL INVADERS. okay. breathe. I feel calmer. this was our immediate reaction. miranda; says: i see it! omg OMG omg OMG omg OMG Rayne is Saudi Arabia says: OMGOMGOMG miranda; says: OMG Rayne is Saudi Arabia says: OMGOMGOMG OMGOMGOMG miranda; says: OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG Rayne is Saudi Arabia says: OMGOMGOMGOMG miranda; says: OMG omg Rayne is Saudi Arabia says: OMG! Monday, June 22, 2009 Y 8:33 PM What transpired (that is worth noting) during my very short June holidays E-lderly sessions Haha and they always want to learn how to play mahjong online. Sentosa with 410 Pity we went to siloso which was largely under construction. Palawan would've had better photo opportunities. Tribune Camp '09 This year's camp was pretty productive, I must say. I'm so proud of the welfare comm for organising this camp so well <3 The Great Cycling Expedition
WE CYCLED A TOTAL OF 35/38 KM! (you see, 35 is Google Maps estimate, but 38 should be MORE EXACT if you include all the turns and all) At 8am we were supposed to meet opposite downtowneast bus stop. BUT, Jas overslept HAHA. So HuiYi and I went to eat first. THEN, we cycled in the direction of Changi Village, towards Changi Beach Park. We went along the whole route of Changi Beach, along which something weird happened to my bicycle gears D: I very courageously stepped forward to ask this bicycle kiosk man for help :D. AND BRAVO my bicycle was fixed. Then we cycled like some 8 km to East Coast Park. Kinda weird, but I was feeling super tired already, then after that when we reached the park connector near the canal I remembered a lot of happy stuff and pedalling became less taxing. East Coast holds a lot of happy memories for me. Well this is one more to add to the collection then (: We met Eewen along the way and got ourselves an ice-cream each [view above photo]. We then went to macs for brunch and took so long to get a seat ): This annoying woman practically chased me away from an empty table because ''I HAVE KIDS". Okay whatever. Then I realised that they're back to using GARLIC CHILLI! I SO MISS GARLIC CHILLI. So of course, to express my devotion, I bought a large pack of fries (I shared with Jas okay). And got myself three dishes of chilli (which I was also intending to share so I'm not greedy!). Then SOMETHING UNFORTUNATE HAPPENED. My water bottle fell into the chilli ): . AND, halfway through eating, I noticed that my dad's cap had this patch of, caked up greenish-whitish stuff. Yuck much. I almost died of shock but being calm and clear-headed, I wiped away with wet tissue and washed it with soap. We cycled around some more, then finally decided to send Eewen home, and rest in her home for awhile. Her dog is quite cute (: We finally decided to get off our aching butts and cycle home some 2 hours later. We went by the park connector way, Siglap pcn > Bedok pcn> kaki bukit area> tampines (the long long long road leading to Ikea). Slope after overhead bridge after traffic light, we finally FINALLY got to Ikea. We had a much-deserved dinner and HuiYi decided that she wants to be a RACIST. Oops, sorry, I meant RACER. That silly person was like I WANNA BE A RACIST! eh something wrong with that huh? thinks for while. OHHH I MEAN RACER! So HuiYi. And HuiYi was so greedy bought 15 meatballs and cannot finish. Luckily I kindly extended my help. Then I bought ice cream and hot dogs for HuiYi's mum. One of the ice cream cones ended up on the carpark floor. D: OH WELL. Can't help these things sometimes, they just happen. Oh well. Despite an aching butt, burnt skin and smelly sweat stink, it was a really good experience. We felt ECSTATIC after reaching Ikea. And strangely, my thigh muscles STILL DON'T HURT! Amazing, really. Y 8:17 PM I just realised almost all the previous few posts end with "I'm so tired" or something along those lines. And I really am. I'm so glad I had the holidays to recharge but I think I haven't been using it well. I just can't find the energy to whole-heartedly study study study. Been caught up with lots of stuff. Well, the holidays have been [searches head for appropriate word but can't find it]. Time really flies. Many a time in my insofar short and unproductive life I've looked back and thought to myself, hey they're so damn right time FLIES. I guess I'm resigned to that truth. From the realisation that you no longer have seniors in the school to look up to, to the shock that you have barely half a year left in this school, to the scary sinking feeling you get when you realise you have only one week of holidays left. All signs that time is but a transient, fleeting entity. Or in many cases, when you realise that there's actually no time left, I guess you could call time a non-entity. What has happened over the holidays that is worth noting: 1) e-lderly sessions 2) class gathering @ sentosa 3) Tribune camp 4) Cycling to ECP and back again with Hui Yi and Jas (35-38 km!!!!) 5) Picnic with family 6) Dwen An meetings 7) More Dwen An meetings Everything else seemed to be of little consequence. Pity. I think I'll elaborate more about the abovementioned in another post. The tone just doesn't seem right. As we told the juniors in our writing workshop, tone has to be consistent (: Saturday, June 13, 2009 Y 9:15 PM miranda; butterfly-delicate says: tell them to write/draw on paper or we can hold up placards that say from 1 to 5 how do you rate this then get them to use their fingers Rayne is emotion-illiterate. says: what if they can't read? miranda; butterfly-delicate says: then kill them Rayne is emotion-illiterate. says: ohhh, that sounds good miranda; butterfly-delicate says: WHY CANT THEY READ ): Rayne is emotion-illiterate. says: they're 6?! miranda; butterfly-delicate says: OKAY I KNOW it was a rhetorical question I am going crazy. No, really. I really do hope we pull it off. As the saying goes, too much to do, too little time. I don't get it we got 7 whole days and they only have 3? What's up with that? That isn't fair is it? Sze Min's script is so funny I burst out laughing reading it. Rayne is emotion-illiterate. says: but it sounds like some okto thing like a silly cartoon character >< IT DOES. excerpt 1: Hello! My name is _______, and before we start having fun, we have to set some ground rules first so that we can have as much fun as possible together okay? miranda; butterfly-delicate says: Now let us take photos! YAY! you forgot that Rayne is emotion-illiterate. says: how do we sign YAY! ?! we should just jump into the air miranda; butterfly-delicate says: YEAH like super happily Rayne is emotion-illiterate. says: HAHA can you imagine, everybody on the count of three jumps into the air I think the children would be scared HAHA they might. Oh well fingers crossed. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 Y 10:31 PM I WANT A BUTLER!!!!! Okay I just finished watching Mei-chan no Shitsuji and I'm so sorry, Gu Jun Pyo, I'm making space for Shibata Rihito! HAHA. I'll be greedy and have BOTH. Okay I realise I didn't dedicate any post to BOF so this post will be shared between my two latest drama loves haha. Mei-chan no Shitsuji MV without sound (something's wrong with the audio) but still a good one. Love this part <3>![]() This girl is so cute.Boys Over Flowers Okay I was too lazy to keep searching for a good mv. This was pretty nice though only first few episodes. ![]() Love this part.
