REJOICING OVER THE FACT THAT NAPFA IS FINALLY OVER!
2.4 run today was much better than i expected and i mean MUCH BETTER. hello gold i'm coming! To compare and contrast this year's timing and last year's i improved MAJORLY. THIS YEAR IS LIKE, THE YEAR OF PHYSICAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR ME :D
i shall record down the vast (for me at least) improvements and deprovements because i'm satisfied though its really shameless considering i'm not very fit.
2.4 run (from a C to an A) : most satisfying improvement, from like 16 something to 13 something (: okay i know it isn't fast compared to people like JAS and EEWEN and AMANDA CHAN who run like 12 something, or walk, and STILL get 13, not to mention guys who can run averagely around 9. but its good enough for me. then again, last year i totally heck cared and walked quite a lot since i got d for sbj and couldnt get gold. and speaking of sbj.
sbj (from a D to a B i think) : improvement improvement improvement. from last year's lousy 150++ to 170 (which is lousy still compared to like, the rest of the world)
BUT, shuttle run (from a b to a c ): yes, spot the hidden sadface. deprovement! needs to buck up for this. the only irritating c >:/

I really don't know why i was, and am still so worried about napfa. i mean, i didnt really worry last year, only dreaded. maybe its cos i really trained in ncc? anyway, i really need to thank ncc for training me. training seriously helps and i'm DETERMINED to start exercising for next year's napfa. (okay i know i know i'm so not going to achieve it.) Anyway, i think our platoon really improved very well! a very good sign that training is working (: I'm also extremely thankful to everyone who cheered me on while i was running cos it really is encouraging. especially nat and marge who kept shouting 'you're stronger than that!'. i was totally going to stop and walk in round 5 then i heard that and i was like HELL YEAH and i switched to machine-mode and just ran with my whole body numbing up. im SO GLAD i resisted the urge to walk. also extremely grateful to marge who was WITH ME :D (yes it really helped and i'm still very sorry i couldnt stay to cheer you on.)
i think a vital part of 2.4 is actually standing by the track and screaming out encouragement to friends. you see a lot of love and spirit during the whole event. for example, we saw two girls who were running and pulling their friend along, one on each side. it was really sweet cos they were drained, but refused to leave their friend behind. there were also other girls who ran with their friends even after they finished all their rounds, or even though they don't/can't run for reasons unknown. They really should take pictures of REAL touching scenes like that for those publicity banners instead of those fakeish kinds you actually pose for.
I think 2.4 is more a mental torture than a physical one actually. i really refused to let my body stop for a second even though i was DAMN tempted to. i think for me, it works if i go into machine mode. then i'm just blindly placing one foot after the other. i totally couldn't stand up after i stopped. my head was spinning madly. but after recovering from that, i was totally high, on adrenaline.

pressing on.
