OKAY.
today i had good news and bad news

THE GOOD
I AM GOING FOR SPECS AFTER ALL
screams!!! :D

Miss Goh: Miranda, you're going for specs course
Me: REALLY?! WHY
Miss Goh: No idea. but you are. get necessary info and documents from your pltnmates. [smiles and walks away]
Me: [stands at the classroom door stunned]

THE BAD
okay remember the toothache? yes i finally found out the cause. it was killing me the whole of today. panadol sustained me for a few hours but i was dying throughout tribune. there was this point it hurt so bad i was like tearing while editing our article. Chewlin told me to go see a dentist and i couldnt take it much longer anyway. Dr. Sakhar very kindly offered to give me a lift to wisma where my dentist is. My usual dentist wasn't around, hence as it was an 'emergency' they found another dentist for me. After a few checks and an x-ray, the dentist revealed the horrible truth:

Dr. Chong: So, Miranda, have you bitten on anything hard lately?
Me: Uh. I, ate crabs over the weekend?
Dr. : Well... it seems the crabs have done you in. You have a dead tooth my dear.
Me: [STUNNED AND SHOCKED]
Dr. : basically means your tooth has sustained some shock and the nerves are now dead. When faced with this, you have two choices. First, you can extract the whole tooth. (i turned the shade of my teeth). Don't worry, that's the prehistoric method. Now with modern science, we can use root canal treatment.

that's basically slicing off the top of my tooth, removing the dead nerves inside and crowning it with fake enamel. sounds absolutely painful. 'don't worry i'll give you a jab beforehand so you'll be under anaesthaesia. absolutely painless' still, dentists are not to be trusted. before i put on braces my orthodontist told me 'you will experience some discomfort the first few days'. well, i couldnt eat or talk properly for up till a week.

sigh. i absolutely CAN'T WAIT for my tooth operation.
