Tribune farewell chalet cum camp is over.

Success is sweet
I'm really really am glad that we managed to pull through and make this a success. I love organising these events for Tribune because being the fun-loving, warm family that they are, they make it worth all the tears, sweat and blood shed while planning. Vicky and Jessie should have full knowledge that organising a successful chalet is NO MEAN FEAT. I think Vicky deserves a big pat on the back for our success this time especially since it's her first time organising such an important event. For me, helping to organise the event is a joy in itself, seeing everyone enjoy themselves, watching the club getting more bonded, witnessing first-hand how an event you helped birth can make such big changes to the climate of the club. It was definitely a lot easier on me this time, playing mentor and basically critiquing Vicky's proposal and suggesting changes. Poor Vicky.

They will be missed
Oh yes they will. Our sec fours Rokhini Jiaying Pamela and Mavis. I've said all I wanted to say to them in their gifts, so I won't say anything here. I just find it amazing that both Rokhini and I brought up in our letters to each other, the time we worked together on that Body Imaga trivia article. It's a fond memory for me but I really thought she wouldn't remember it much. As for Dr. Sakhar, I'm just really sad to see him go. It's safe to say that Tribune has become really attached to him since he took over as Teacher I/C in 2007. He's funny and approachable and generally a great mentor.
On behalf of Tribune: You'll always be our favourite polar bear, Dr. Sakhar.

Mass Games

Fight going on. She killed me I tell you. I had to take revenge.

Before the GRAND WRAPPING CEREMONY

THE GRAND WRAPPING CEREMONY.

After the GRAND WRAPPING CEREMONY. What a white sight!

Aww he's such a sport. We'll miss him!

THE AMAZING RACE BEGINS.
It was amazing (:
Being station mistress of one of the most embarrassing games was SO REWARDING (: Basically there were four groups Chicken Little, Ratatouille, Planet of the Apes and Lion King. At my station, they had to become animal buskers *cackles*. They were to sing christmas carols and add in suitable animalistic sounds actions and facial expressions where suitable. By the jogging path. If they manage to hold the gazes of 5 passers-by for 5 seconds, they succeed and get points. IT WAS SO FUNNY. Wish I could upload the videos. I'll upload on Facebook la. I'm so proud of the last group who only had 2 members BUT sang their hearts out! We wish you a merry christmas ROAR we wish you a merry christmas ROAR *cue facial expressions and head rotation*. Other stations required them to approach random people and get them to guess an animal by acting the animal out. hilarious.

Barbeque begins. And a few crazed Tribuners on an adrenaline high decided to burn a marshmallow cos the sight would be epic. In other words, massively gross.

REAL barbeque begins.

All hot and sweaty!

The Tribune masterpiece. Painstakingly pieced together by hand and blutack. Yes the animal trespassing the safari grounds is a polar bear!

Sec Ones '08 minus a few (Amanda Han, Amanda Lee, Jessie, Regina, Azalea, An Yan, Kanages, Shasha)

Sec Twos '08 minus a few (Julia Selene Karen Vicky)

Sec Threes '08 minus Chewlin. (Me, Shiying, Lilian)

The Grand Costume Parade. Locate the flamingo. Yes that's me, unfortunately very conspicuous.

Partial Batch'09 with partial Batch'08. (me, Shiying, Rokhini, Jiaying, Lilian)

Waiting for the sun to rise. It did but we didn't exactly see a "crimson/pink/mauve fiery orb rising above the horizon".

Sec ones. How cute right (:

loveya

I think we've had a lot of blessings in disguise this year. We got an equally good chalet at half the price, and we couldn't movie marathon so we ended up talking and finding out more about each other. One thing that we discovered was how we all are similar in some ways. In terms of personality, interests, views on life (somewhat) etc. Probably because if you join a merit CCA, it would purely be because of similar interest in the CCA. That's what we hope anyway. Also, we know a lot of people cannot understand why we would be willing to make Tribune a core CCA. Believe me, if not for a sense of obligation and a fair amount of adoration for my platoonmates, I would have done so a long time ago. It just feels good to be a part of this big family and when you really open up and start interacting (sec ones would have realised by now), the Tribune experience is supremely rewarding. In simpler words, Tribune makes me happier person. And I'm sure this applies to most if not all merit CCAs.
